The activity of Prof. Klaus Mainzer, President of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, is appreciated with the "Dimitrie Cantemir" medal

The Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova decided to award the Dimitrie Cantemir" medal to Professor Klaus Mainzer, President of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Salzburg), for remarkable contributions to the development of science, collaboration with researchers from the Republic of Moldova, support given to the training of young researchers and highly qualified scientific staff by presenting public lectures of national interest. Prof. Klaus Mainzer has been collaborating with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova for several years. On June 10, 2021, during the Science Week” dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the Academy, he presented the public lecture Artificial intelligence: present status and future perspectives". On June 28, 2023, he contributed to the success of the International Scientific Conference Science for Arts and Peace", the event being reflected also on the EASA portal, see the link https://euro-acad.eu/events?id=180. On August 27, 2024, the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, he delivered a lecture on artificial intelligence at the Summer School The Path to Scientific Discoveries". At the end of 2020, Prof. Klaus Mainzer gave an interview to the Press Service of the Academy of Moldova, which gave an impetus to collaboration with scientists and cultural experts from the Republic of Moldova.
