On November 6th, starting at 10:00, in the Magna Hall of the Romanian Academy and the Blue Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the conference "The Role of Science in the Modern World - Artificial Intelligence. The Challenge of the 21st Century" will be held, a major event organized by the Romanian Academy and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, in partnership with the "Gheorghe Ionescu-Șișești" Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, the Academy of Technical Sciences, the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Academy of Legal Sciences of Romania.
The conference will discuss science and technology in the context of the evolution of artificial intelligence, its impact on medicine, analyzing the benefits, major challenges, potential risks and measures to maximize the advantages. New legal disciplines in the era of artificial intelligence will also be explored, such as artificial intelligence law and the law of the “digital human”. Challenges and trends in the computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence will be presented, as well as Romanian agricultural research in a changing world and new geonomic techniques in the context of scientific and political debates. Last but not least, the role of culture and the arts in sustainable development will be highlighted.
