On Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova invites to the festive meeting to celebrate 63 years since its foundation. The festive meeting will start at 2 p.m., and will be held in a mixed format, with a physical presence in the Blue Hall of the ASM and online on the ZOOM platform (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89904177379?pwd=UYmjknqxx91hblcyMlhotKbR7vK2nd.1 (Meeting ID: 899 0417 7379; Passcode: 056379).
The event's agenda:
- Opening remarks: Acad. Ion TIGHINEANU, President of ASM
- Greeting messages: Acad. Ioan-Aurel POP, President of the Romanian Academy, honorary member of ASM; Prof. Randy SCHEKMAN, Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Medicine, honorary member of ASM; Acad. Juras BANYS, President of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
- Signing of the Partnership Agreement between the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the Academy of Sciences of Lithuania. After the signing ceremony, President Juras BANYS will present a lecture on the activity of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
- Awarding academic distinctions.
- Exhibition of photography, art and achievements of researchers will be open starting from 1 p.m.
The titular members, corresponding members and designated members of the Scientific Sections of the AȘM, directors of agencies and research institutes, rectors of universities, scientific researchers, people of culture are invited to attend the festive meeting.
The event will be live streamed by the Institute for the Development of the Information Society. The event is open to the media.
